The Hard Landscaping Show Project of the Year Awards

The show project awards proved to be a big hit at the 2010 show and we are pleased to once again congratulate the winners:

Best Landscaping Project

David Sewell and Tim Mawle - The Gardenmakers (www.the-gardenmakers.co.uk)

Best Paving Project (Natural Stone or Pre-Cast Concrete)

Rob Nash and Rio Saunders - Masterlay Groundworks (www.masterlaygroundworks.co.uk)

Best Cast-in-Place Project

Rob Pasqualotto - Boccia Ltd

The following entries were highly recommended by the judges:

Best Landscaping Project

Kerry Jackson – Jacksons Landscape Design (www.jacksonslandscapedesign.com)

Best Paving Project

Sean Scott – Scott Patterned Concrete (www.scottpatternedconcrete.co.uk)

The high standard of the entries meant that competition for prizes was fierce and we would also like to congratulate Karl Harrison of Harrison Gardens (www.harrisongardens.co.uk) and John Quinn of Spectacular Driveways (www.spectaculardriveways.co.uk) on reaching the final elimination stage of the competition – better luck next year gentlemen, the high quality of your work means that you have every chance of a prize in 2011.

As in 2010 there are no complicated rules of entry and you do not need to be a member of any association or society to enter - there are 3 categories of the awards once again as above.

The winning entry for each category will receive a prize and a show winners certificate and every entrant will receive a written acknowledgement of entry from us, in itself useful in your marketing even if you are unsuccessful in the competition - cowboys and dodgy outfits avoid publicity, they do not enter competitions!

You can enter a maximum of 3 projects per company in each category and the projects must have been completed in 2010, i.e. the contract could have been signed in 2009 and work started then, it is the date of completion of the project that defines the date of the project for the purposes of the competition.

The prizes for the awards will be presented to the winners by Matthew Wilson, presenter of the popular Channel 4 TV Show, The Landscape Man.

The competition will open for entries on the 01 November 2010 and details of the entry procedure will be posted here during October 2010.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to email them to us.

Matthew Wilson, host of the Channel 4 series The Landscape Man, will be presenting the Project of the Year Awards and hosting a Q&A session at the show
